About:  add-on section

Just so people know it really happened, with some proof since it was so long ago. Plus, I was thinking about coaching and making a resume.

-Some memorable things was being part of many teams, championships and reaching many personal goals. I was also one of the few Asian players for the majority of my time, with the exception with Asian teams.

-Dodger Pepsi Skills Contest Finalist 1975. From a 1976, Clinic flyer. Hit, Run, Throw and Bunt. I'm the 2nd player, from the left of Steve Garvey. The closest I would get to being a Dodger. It was great and before a soldout Cincinnati Reds game, the "Big Red Machine". Some of us wore Dodger coaches jerseys. Mine was Monty Basgall's.  I was the '75 LA County Champion and also the '74 City winner, but didn't compete in the regionals that yr.

-La Opinion Newspaper, April 1994. From my time playing baseball with mostly Hispanic players in South Gate and Rosemead. They rarely got my name right, but who did? I likely lead the team in Batting Average the final yr at about .435. I was lucky enough to have also played in City leagues, All Star Teams, High School and local Japanese leagues. Plus, championship team coed PE slow pitch softball, CS Fullerton. That championship was very special, since it was a very popular PE class at a large college. I was picked in the 2nd to the last round.

-High School didn't think I could play, maybe they were right, but I tried my best. It was an Academic School and had split hours between class levels. As a Freshman on the JV team, I was utility. JV as a Sophomore, and by luck a starter. We played a much better team in spring training, and with no one left to pitch, I was asked. So, I became the #1 starting pitcher, co-captain and voted Most Improved Player. As a Junior on the Varsity, we had new coaches and I was utility, but still among the leaders in rbi's.  (Maybe I was the rbi leader w/limited playing time, but there was jealousy, but what's life without controversy.)  As a Senior, I sat out but was asked to play.

-1976/77? Rare clipping, otherwise there's very little history. One of 20+ no hitters during my youth career. For my critiques, 1 compete game no hitter, the rest were combined per limits. Credit to all the relievers. 3 team championships with them. The complete game no-no was in Junior HS. All were shutouts. Also, Credit to the coaches and my dad for allowing me to pitch aggressively, as I would not be allowed to pitch like that in HS, or pitch at all, and moved to the outfield.

-1975. LA County All Star Team Championship, with players from the City League. I was lucky to be part of a great team. It was sponsored by AtlanticRichfieldCompany and Parks and Rec. Remember Parks and Rec?

-1973. Back to back yrs. First home run of the season. It was big ballpark, much larger than Little League. I may have also led the team or league in batting average, rbi's and/or stolen bases in various years. One of my best skills was base stealing.

-Bowling sheet early 1980's. We were lucky to have many activities, even bowling. I could roll 200 games and likely took it easy on the last one, per with friends. This alley is still there, but many others are no more.
